Welcome to Mantra of Healing
I have
never had a blog, or even had anything to blog about. I know that this
experience from this class will probably change that. I have a hard time
relaxing, so through my experience of relaxation in healing myself will in turn
help you as well. This is a journey for all of us, and I am happy to share my
experiences with those of my classmates. I hope to learn from myself, and from
each one of my classmates. I want to leave you with this quote: “If you wish to
experience peace, provide peace for another”. – Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th
Dalai Lama.
This blog thing is going to be an experience that change the world for me as well. In my daughters preschool they taught the kids breathing techniques to help with controlling their behavior, but I have learned it is SO MUCH more useful that anything else she learned that year. We have used Bunny Breathing (putting your fingers in bunny ears and take deep cleansing breaths while using your fingers as guides) she has used it for tantrums, injuries and getting ready for nap time (when she did that so long ago) and today I still use it for me when I need to calm down before going into a situation that will be stressful - mainly with my kids.
ReplyDeleteSophie your message about providing peace for one another is so timely. My sister is going through a stressful situation at work at the moment and she quite depressed and frustrated.
ReplyDeleteThe reading this week on integral health couldn't have come at a better time because I was able to give her some good advice based on what I learned. Use the left prefrontal cortex of the brain to produce positive thoughts, find a place of quietness and solitude to relax and understand that you have the ability to be well.
